NEASQC is organising a series of interactive webinars to share our findings with the quantum computing community. Each month NEASQC experts present an Open Source library available in the NEASQC GitHub or a technique they investigated, and answer your questions.
In January, we will present The NEASQC Benchmark Suite.
Abstract: One of the objectives of the NEASQC project was to put together an application-centric benchmark suite that would guide hardware development efforts, in particular those of the Quantum Technology Flagship, by providing scalable and hardware-independent mechanisms to assess and compare quantum end-user applications behaviour in different hardware platforms. At this point, four benchmarks were selected from the large and representative array of NEASQC use cases:
This webinar will present the methodology followed by the NEASQC team to select those benchmarks, it will introduce the four benchmarks and will explain how developers can use the suite.
Speaker: Dr Andrés Gómez Tato, CESGA
Andrés Gómez is Administrator of the Applications and Projects department of CESGA, the Galician Supercomputing Center. He holds a PhD in Physics, but turned towards the Information and Communication Technologies sector just before finishing his doctoral thesis. He worked for several companies until 2001 when he joined CESGA in the position he still holds today.
